Changes to my study programme

First of all, I'm not sure what this topic is about, but regarding the curriculum of my career, if that's what it's about, it's worth mentioning that we are the second generation of actors that will leave this university after a change in the curriculum of the career.

I believe that it takes years for a curriculum to become established and to function optimally. In the case of this course, I think that the best possible management and organisation has not been done, I think there are still many shortcomings and the old curriculum has not been changed in practice, but the names of the subjects have been changed and many things have been taken out that in my opinion were important for an actor or actress to know.

I also believe that it is not only about changing the curriculum, but also about renewing teaching practices and those who teach the subjects. There are many professors who continue to teach just because they have been at the university for many years, and although I respect their careers and admire them, I believe that there are many practices that are not very pedagogical and that do not contribute to or even harm the students' learning processes.

I hope that this will continue to improve over time, and that in the future the next aspiring actors and actresses will be able to take with them the best version that the university has to offer.

  1. In my career the same thing happens with teachers, some really do not teach properly and they continue to work at the university.

  2. I agree with your opinion about some teachers, a lot of teachers don't study pedagogy, so they don't have certain skills

  4. I'm in the same career, and I've had so many other students of it, older ones, telling me about how the curriculum used to be and I also think that the changes hasn´t necessarily bein the best ones. Plus there's the pandemic that left my class with, I think, even less learning... I just... aaaaa. Same wishes as you.
